In 1976, Al Weycer and Richard Kaplan formed a 2-lawyer office in Houston, Texas. Their goal was to provide quality legal services to a broad array of local clients, mostly in the real estate and corporate areas, and to develop and maintain long-term relationships. Five years later, Sandy Cohen was hired as Al’s and Richard’s first associate. In 1985, Joe Pulaski & Gordon Zuber joined the firm as named partners and the firm became known as Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber, P.C. The partners’ vision for its future was to become a full-service law firm helping each client with needs simple and complex, large and small, always striving to meet the needs and demands of a broad client base.
Over time, the firm gradually expanded its number of attorneys and practice areas. Throughout its history, the firm’s challenge was always to either successfully complete a deal, resolve a dispute, or solve a business challenge. Today, Weycer Kaplan proudly serves clients across the State of Texas and the United States from its offices in Houston and Dallas. The firm’s attorneys provide deep experience in various practice areas, including real estate, corporate, banking and finance, commercial litigation, construction law, bankruptcy and creditor’s rights, trusts, wills and estate planning, tax, mediation, and more. The services and values the firm built years ago remain the same today—a high level of personal attention and professionalism, and commitment to the needs of our clients.
