Karin F. Lieber

Karin Lieber’s dedication to her cases and clients’ needs has led her to a proactive approach that leaves no stone unturned to find the best solution for her clients. Karin began her legal career ten years ago advising employers on labor and employment matters while also actively defending claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act, and general maritime law.

Karin Lieber knows that cases and contracts can be a great tool or a horrible loss to her clients due to the “details”. Karin works proactively with her clients to advise them on legal matters and brainstorms with them to create a positive and cost-effective solution to their present legal dispute or matter while still complying with legal duties and the law. With this collaboration, Karin can find a positive solution to her clients’ present issue while limiting her clients’ potential exposure and liability as well as maintaining relations with the other side. Karin’s thorough and collaborative approach is what makes her such an asset to her clients’ businesses and present legal matters.

As a first generation American, Karin was blessed to experience the American Dream through her two-family owned local businesses. In 2021, she assumed the role as Interim CEO and President of Werther International, Inc, a multi-million-dollar company with customers in at least four countries and every US state. During this role, she quickly mastered the basics of running a business, from understanding financial statements, tax filings, AR/ collections, HR matters, employee benefits, domestic and international shipping, purchasing, and customs. She was also charged with managing the sale of the company to a suitable buyer, which successfully closed in February 2022 with a beneficial tax basis to both the seller and buyer that Karin negotiated. Not only did Karin draft the purchase agreement, she also negotiated and drafted an exclusivity distribution agreement for the North American territory with one of her top international suppliers. Karin also negotiated and drafted the purchase agreement for the sale of the other majority owned family business, Dentalaire dba as Vetcare, Inc. a multi-million-dollar company in California, that closed in December 2023. Karin’s proactive role with her family business affairs allowed her to develop key business owner management skills and contract drafting.

When not actively representing her clients or preparing her cases for trial, Karin enjoys international travel and international cultural affairs. She is an avid scuba diver and speaks Italian and French. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, dancing, the performing arts, and yes, the UFC.
